Morocco’s Ministry of Health recorded 3,033 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. This brings the country’s total number of confirmed infections to 397,597.  
Morocco also reported another 3,277 COVID-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovered COVID-19 carriers in Morocco is now 353,098. The national recovery rate is 88.8%.

 Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health counted 47 more COVID-19-related fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,589. The mortality rate stands at 1.7%. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Morocco is 37,910 as of 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 12. Morocco counts 1,013 patients with severe symptoms, including 166 of today’s newly-identified patients. Approximately 101 are under intubation, while 574 are under non-invasive ventilation. 

 Health authorities in Morocco excluded 15,517 suspected COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Approximately 3,782,022 suspected COVID-19 carriers have tested negative for the virus since the pandemic broke out in Morocco on March 2.

Health authorities in the Casablanca-Settat region confirmed 1,239 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, in addition to 15 fatalities. Casablanca-Settat has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities of any region in Morocco. 

 The Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region confirmed 556 new cases. Rabat-Sale-Kenitra also recorded seven additional deaths. 

 The region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima followed in today’s case numbers, reporting 342 new cases and five new deaths. 

 The Souss-Massa region reported 286 new COVID-19 cases and three more fatalities. 

 The region of Marrakech-Safi confirmed 208 new COVID-19 cases and three additional fatalities. 

 The Draa-Tafilalet region recorded 85 new cases and one more death. 

 The Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region reported 79 new COVID-19 cases and one more death.  

The Fez-Meknes region reported 69 additional COVID-19 cases and one additional death. 

 The Oriental region reported 68 new COVID-19 cases and six more fatalities. 

 The region of Beni Mellal-Khenifra confirmed 47 new cases and two more deaths. 

 The Guelmim-Oued Noun region recorded 39 new COVID-19 infections and three more deaths. 

 With 15 new COVID-19 cases, the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab did not report any fatalities today.

Morocco also reported another 3,966 COVID-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovered COVID-19 carriers in Morocco is now 341,685. 

The national recovery rate rose to 88%. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health counted 57 more COVID-19-related fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,427. The mortality rate stands at 1.7%. 

 The number of active COVID-19 cases in Morocco is 40,072 as of 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9. Morocco counts 945 patients with severe symptoms, including 127 of today’s newly-identified patients. Approximately 82 are under intubation, while 519 are under non-invasive ventilation. 

 Health authorities in Morocco excluded 15,085 suspected COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Approximately 3,734,479 suspected COVID-19 carriers have tested negative for the virus since the pandemic broke out in Morocco on March 2.

 The region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima followed in today’s case numbers, reporting 406 new cases and one new death. 

 The region of Marrakech-Safi region confirmed 398 new COVID-19 cases and seven additional fatalities.

The Ministry of Health in Morocco reported 2,919 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the country’s total cases to 379,657. 
 Active cases stand at 42,111, with 940 patients in critical condition. Of this sum, 80 patients are intubated and 512 are receiving non-invasive ventilation. 

 The health ministry also reported 61 virus-related deaths and 3,608 recoveries on Sunday. Morocco’s COVID-19 death toll is 6,245 and 331,301 patients have recovered. The fatality rate is 1.6% while the recovery rate is 87.3%. 

 Since March, labs throughout the North African country have conducted more than 4.07 million tests for COVID-19, of which over 3.69 million came back negative. In the past 24 hours, Moroccan labs processed the results of 15,700 tests. 

 Morocco’s new COVID-19 cases by the region 

The Casablanca-Settat region marks another day below the 1,000 new case mark. The hard-hit region is the most impacted by COVID-19 in Morocco and reported 799 new cases and 19 deaths on Sunday. In previous weeks, the country often recorded between 1,000 and 2,000 daily new cases, on average. Casablanca confirmed 551 new cases and 17 deaths on Sunday, a refreshing change from previous 1,000+ tallies.

 Rabat-Sale-Kenitra counted 629 new cases and nine deaths. The majority of cases emerged in Skhirat-Temara (249), Kenitra (141), Sale (107), and Rabat (82).

 In Marrakech-Safi, health authorities registered 337 new cases of COVID-19 and four deaths. The Marrakech prefecture reported the majority of new cases, 185. 

 Souss-Massa, central Morocco, confirmed 317 cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths. 

The provinces and prefectures of Agadir, Taroudant, and Tiznit extended lockdown measures over the weekend to combat the spread of the virus. 

 Regional health authorities in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, northern Morocco, reported 239 new cases and two deaths related to COVID-19. Most of the new cases appeared in Tangier-Assilah (105). 

 The eastern Oriental region confirmed 161 new cases and five deaths, followed by Beni-Mellal Khenifra (124 cases, one death) and Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (118 cases, two deaths). 

 The regions in Morocco that reported fewer than 100 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday include Guelmim-Oued Noun (84 cases, no deaths), Fez-Meknes (73 cases, three deaths), Draa-Tafilalet (26 cases, one death), and Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab (12 cases, no deaths).

The national recovery rate rose marginally to 87.7%. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health counted 75 more COVID-19-related fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,320. The mortality rate rose to 1.7%. 

 The number of active COVID-19 cases in Morocco is 40,599 as of 6 p.m. on Monday, December 7. Morocco counts 937 patients with severe symptoms, including 70 of today’s newly-identified patients. Approximately 72 are under intubation, while 508 are under non-invasive ventilation. 

 Health authorities in Morocco excluded 10,454 suspected COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Approximately 3,705,248 suspected COVID-19 carriers have tested negative for the virus since the pandemic broke out in Morocco on March 2. 

 COVID-19’s geographic distribution throughout Morocco 

Health authorities in the Casablanca-Settat region confirmed 573 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, in addition to eight fatalities. Casablanca-Settat has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities of any region in Morocco.

 The Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region confirmed 384 new cases. Rabat-Sale-Kenitra also recorded 22 additional deaths. 

 The region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima followed in today’s case numbers, reporting 181 new cases and four new deaths. 

 The Souss-Massa region reported 112 new COVID-19 cases and seven more fatalities.  

The Marrakech-Safi region confirmed 97 new COVID-19 cases and seven additional fatalities. 

The Oriental region recorded 65 new cases and six more deaths. 

 The region of Fez-Meknes confirmed 63 additional COVID-19 cases and six additional deaths. 

The Beni Mellal-Khenifra region confirmed 23 new cases and five more deaths. 

The region of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra confirmed 18 additional COVID-19 cases and one more death. 

The Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases and did not report any new deaths. 

The region of Guelmim-Oued Noun followed with two new cases and six deaths. With zero new COVID-19 cases, the Draa-Tafilalet region recorded three more deaths.
